Michal Brondel
CEO
As the CEO and co-founder of Tatras Group, Michal is responsible for running all facets of the business.
Michal brings more than a decade of executive experience with leading in Building Science and Industrial Rope Access sectors. His attitude is a perfect example of great perseverance in pursuing his goal, not giving up and loyalty to his principles.
He intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.
He is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in financial information that levers the business.
His background includes Energy Management Systems and business development. Michal was also a member of European Mountain Search and Rescue and co-founder of Protec Vertical Solutions – a successful Vancouver based Building Restoration firm.
Michal is a man of integrity and able to make the tough calls when necessary.
Oskar Michalak
Chief Operating Officer (COO), Tatras Group
Oskar Michalak serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tatras Group. With a distinguished background spanning specialized mountain rescue, adventure tourism, and industrial rope access, Oskar brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role.
Armed with a master’s degree in Emergency Management, Oskar’s career journey began on elite mountain rescue teams, where he honed his skills navigating diverse and challenging terrain, from towering mountains to intricate cave systems and industrial sites. His proficiency in specialized rescue operations laid the foundation for his transition into the field of industrial rope access.
As a seasoned rope access technician, Oskar has overseen a multitude of projects encompassing a wide range of structures, including towering smokestacks, complex stadium designs, airport terminals, expansive bridges, and architectural landmarks. His technical acumen, coupled with his steadfast commitment to safety and efficiency, has earned him a reputation for delivering top-tier service and results.
In his role as COO at Tatras Group, Oskar is dedicated to ensuring the company operates at peak efficiency while upholding stringent safety standards. He oversees all operational aspects of the business, driving innovation, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence among the team.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Oskar is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys pushing his limits in endurance events and exploring nature with his family. His passion for the outdoors fuels his commitment to excellence in all aspects of his life, making him a trusted leader and valuable asset to Tatras Group.

Michael Kwadrans
Head of Expansion. Ontario
Michael Kwadrans is an energetic and exceptionally successful sales and marketing professional with over 12 years of experience working for global Enterprise technology leaders such as IBM, Nuvei and Global Payments. He lives and works by the following motto, “Honesty, Transparency and Delivery”. He brings specialized skills in leadership, marketing, management, B2B sales, project management, key account management and business development experience. Michael is a natural connector who has an invaluable network of global business professionals in various industries, sectors and markets. He has a specialized honours degree in International/Global studies from York University in Toronto, including completing a study abroad International Business Program from the Cracow University of Economics.
Michael’s role at Tatras Industrial is to lead direct sales and expansion efforts and continue to bring value to clients in the Ontario market and growth on the East Coast.
Pawel Krzykwa
Industrial Sales Representative. BC
Passionate about people and skilled at building connections, Pawel smoothly transitioned from a dynamic career as a project manager to an Industrial Sales Representative at Tatras Industrial. With a background in computer engineering, Pawel brings an analytical mindset and a customer-focused approach to Tatras, passionately committed to enhancing our footprint in work-at-heights and confined space access solutions.
Mitch Purinton
Welding Division Manager
Mitch is a Red Seal Welder originally from New Brunswick, now based in British Columbia. He specializes in industrial welding, structural steel, and fabrication, bringing 8 years of experience across a diverse range of industrial environments.
Mitch is also a CWB Certified Welding Supervisor (CSA W47.1 & W59) and an IRATA Certified Rope Access Technician, with a strong emphasis on code compliance, quality assurance, and safe, efficient project execution. His background spans multiple industries, with experience in the field, shop, and management roles, providing a well-rounded and hands on approach to operations.
Mitch has supported structural repairs, shutdown work, NDT coordination, and confined space scopes, consistently delivering reliable and cost-effective solutions. He is recognized for his problem-solving ability, strong communication, and leadership, contributing to successful project outcomes and team performance.
Trevan Thavonesouk
High Angle & Confined Space Rescue Division Manager
Trevan Thavonesouk serves as the Rescue Manager at Tatras Industrial, bringing a strong background in high-risk rescue operations, rope access, and confined space safety. With experience across complex industrial environments and remote terrain, he has built a reputation as a trusted technician in demanding rescue scenarios.
Trevan began his career as a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he developed a foundation in discipline, leadership, and performing under pressure. He later transitioned into the rescue industry, advancing into specialized roles including helicopter operations, mountain rescue, and confined space work.
Throughout his career, Trevan has led and executed rescue operations across a wide range of settings, including dams, penstocks, bridges, tunnels, alpine terrain, and remote pipeline projects. He is known for developing and implementing detailed rescue plans in complex and high-risk environments.
As Rescue Manager, Trevan oversees rescue operations and team development across projects. He is also a certified confined space and high-angle rescue instructor, actively involved in training and mentoring personnel.
Kendrick Poon
Kendrick brings over a decade of health and safety experience to his role as Tatras Group’s Health & Safety Officer. Previously, he played a key role at Transport Infrastructure Management, enhancing safety protocols and reducing workplace incidents.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas and a Diploma in Arts & Science from Langara College. A certified CSO and Registered Safety Officer, he also holds OFA Level 3, Fall Protection, WHMIS, Confined Space, and JHSC certifications.
Passionate about fostering a strong safety culture, Kendrick actively supports the team in maintaining top safety standards. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, basketball, swimming, reading, and playing guitar. His expertise and commitment make him a valuable asset to Tatras.
Paulina Bahamon
Paulina Bahamon Perez is a civil engineer from Colombia, with over four years of experience in the construction industry. Throughout her career, she has gained expertise in three key roles: data analyst, resident engineer, and budget engineer. Known for her keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, Paulina is a fast learner who thrives in dynamic environments.
After making the bold decision to move to Canada, she is eager to embrace new opportunities and grow both personally and professionally in her new home.
Outside of her career, Paulina has a deep passion for soccer, often tuning in to both live and televised matches. She enjoys staying active, whether it’s through exercise or spending quality time with her partner and friends. When she’s at home, she values moments of relaxation and downtime.
Vanesa Sanchez Naranjo
Office Operations Manager
Vanesa Sanchez Naranjo brings over 7 years of experience in the administrative field, complemented by her expertise as a quality control supervisor. With a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration and a background in business consulting and operations, Vanesa is skilled in streamlining processes and ensuring high-quality standards.
Having lived abroad for 5 years, Vanesa gained valuable insights into new management systems, cultural diversity, and advanced her proficiency in English. Her global perspective enhances her ability to adapt and excel in dynamic work environments.

Tom Rigets
Rope Access Operations Manager
Tom Rigets leads operations at Tatras Industrial, driving the company’s expansion into complex industrial projects across Western Canada. With a background in rope-access, high-risk access, and industrial services, Tom oversees project execution, safety compliance, and team development to ensure Tatras delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and heavy industry.
